In the competitive European nail market, product design and packaging can make or break a brand. A UK-based nail retailer — known for its elegant, minimalist aesthetic — wanted to upgrade its professional nail brush collection. Their goal was simple: to create a classic, timeless brush that would reflect European sophistication while enhancing their customer experience.
That’s where Zekun Nail Factory came in.
The client was a mid-sized nail product retailer in the UK, selling both online and through physical stores. Their existing brush line was packaged in standard OPP bags — practical but not premium.
They wanted to redesign their brushes and packaging to align with their upscale positioning: elegant, clean, and timeless.
Our team at Zekun Nail Factory started by analyzing the client's brand tone and target audience. Based on the European minimalist aesthetic, we proposed a matte black metal handle — simple, modern, and durable.
The client selected 16 brush shapes, designed for both acrylic and gel applications. To help users identify each shape easily, we added numeric labels (1–16) to every brush, ensuring a consistent and professional presentation.
But the biggest transformation came from packaging.
The client initially used OPP bags, which didn’t match their high-end positioning. Our design team, inspired by a boutique packaging style seen on Instagram, recommended individual small boxes for each brush — compact, protective, and visually premium.
Each box was customized in the client’s brand tone — deep matte black, accentuated with gold printing.
This design not only elevated the perceived value of the brushes but also made them more giftable and social-media-friendly.

For this project:
Sampling period: 15 days
Mass production: 25–30 days after sample approval
MOQ: 50 pcs per design (mix of two sizes allowed)
Thanks to our 15-person design team and in-house social media department, we also created HD photos and videos for the client’s marketing use — helping them present the new brush line professionally across e-commerce and social media channels.
The collaboration began in 2023 with small test orders of around $700–$1,000 per batch.
After upgrading the packaging and expanding the brush series in 2024, the client placed two large repeat orders — $8,000 and $11,000 — within six months.
The product line quickly became one of the retailer’s best-selling collections, praised for its elegant design, professional performance, and consistent quality.
To date, the cooperation has lasted over two years, and both sides continue to expand collaboration on new brush models and promotional materials.
