Keep reading to know more.

Prepare the Necessary Items

● Acrylic nail brush

● Lint-free wipe or paper towel

● A small container like a shallow dish

● Liquid monomer

● Nail art brush cleanser

Step-by-Step Guide to Cleaning Your Acrylic Nail Brush

Remove Excess Acrylic

After each use, please gently wipe off the excess acrylic product from your nail brush with a lint-free wipe or paper towel immediately.

Cleaning with Monomer

First, you should fill a small container like a shallow dish with acrylic monomer. Then, dip the acrylic nail brush into the monomer, making sure the bristles are fully immersed, and the soaking time depends on how dirty your acrylic nail brush is. Next, you can swirl the nail brush around gently to loosen any remaining acrylic residue.

Attention: don't use acetone to clean acrylic nail brush as it will remove the luster of the bristles.

Deeper Clean with a Brush Cleanser

If you are going to deep clean your nail brushes, you might consider using a brush cleanser that helps break down stubborn acrylic buildup and removes any residue trapped between the bristles. Apply a small amount of cleanser to the bristles and gently massage it in using your fingers.

Keep in mind: when using the acrylic monomer or brush cleanser to clean your Kolinsky nail brush, you'd better notice that the liquid level should not be above the crimping. In this way, the handles of the nail brush can stay dry and not easy to loosen or crack.

Rinse with Warm Water

After cleaning with monomer or brush cleanser, gently rinse the bristles with warm water to make sure the acrylic residue and cleanser are thoroughly washed away.

Notice: during the above process, be careful not to pull or tug on the bristles.

Reshape the Bristles

Once clean, use your fingers to guide the bristles into place while the bristles are still damp to reshape the bristles to the original form. Remember to do it gently.

Air Dry

Air dry the acrylic nail brush on a clean paper towel or hang it upside down with the bristle facing downward. Don't expose your Kolinsky nail brush to sunlight.

Other Tips to Maintain Your Acrylic Nail Brush

In addition to regular cleaning, you should also follow the right ways to maintain your brush to prolong the life of your acrylic nail brush.

● Try to store your Kolinsky nail brush in a clean and dry container rather than in a damp or humid environment, as this can avoid mold growth and deterioration.

● Keep your Kolinsky nail brush away from acetone, alcohol or other harsh chemicals, which cause damage to the bristles and handle.

With regular cleaning and maintenance, your acrylic nail brush will continue to be a valuable tool in creating stunning nail enhancements for years to come.
